First Home Buyer Duty Concession Applicants

You can skip this section if you are not eligible as the following applies to you:

  • Property is not your first home purchase in Australia and/OR,
  • Property is your investment property and/OR,
  • Property is over $750,000 and/OR.

Note: If you meet all of the First Home Buyer eligibility requirements but because you have purchased an existing home you remain eligible to receive the concession to reduce your stamp duty, however you will not be eligible for the $10,000 Grant.

1. Have you previously owned residential property, either jointly or separately or with some other person before 1 July 2000 in any state or territory of Australia?
2. Have you occupied a residential property for a continuous period for at least six months in which you acquired a relevant interest on or after 1 July 2000?
3. Have you previously received the FHOG in any other state or territory of Australia?
4. Have you previously received the First home buyer duty exemption or concession in Victoria?

This involves electronically matching details you have previously provided to the SRO with Human Services or DVA records to confirm whether or not you are currently receiving a Human Services or DVA benefit. Details about the Human Services Confirmation eServices are available from Human Services and on www.humanservices.gov.au.

You understand that this consent, once signed, is effective for the period that you are a customer of the SRO and can be revoked at any time by giving written notice to the SRO.

You authorise Human Services to confirm with the SRO the current status of your partner's Commonwealth Benefit and other details as they pertain to your partner's concessional entitlement. This involves electronically matching details you have previously provided to Human Services or DVA records to confirm whether or not your partner is currently receiving a Human Services or DVA benefit. Details about the Human Services Confirmation eServices are available from Human Services and on www.humanservices.gov.au.

You understand that this consent, once signed, is effective for the period that your partner is a customer of the SRO and can be revoked at any time by giving written notice to the SRO. You understand that if you withdraw your consent, your partner may not be eligible for the concession provided by the SRO.
